The clip is my most vivid memory of Sesame Street. I always thought of it as “me and my mama” since I didn’t have a llama.

 tracieeganmorrissey:

The description for this Sesame Street clip is very on point: “Two questions: 1) Who in Manhattan owns a llama as a pet? 2) Shouldn’t this girl be accompanied by a parent?”

Harmodius and Aristogeiton were ancient Greek lovers who killed Hipparchus. Hipparchus was a tyrant who, among other things, accused Harmodius’ sister of not being a virgin (lies) and hit on Harmodius (drama). The lovers stabbed Hipparchus to death at the foot of the Acropolis (high drama). Harmodius was killed on site by Hipparchus’ guards, Aristogeiton was toturted and died. For this they became known as heroes and liberators. Happy Valentines Day!
